Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a leading national law firm currently seeking an experienced Solicitor or Associate to join their highly regarded Medical Negligence team in either Cardiff or Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex, high-value clinical negligence cases within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing position offering the opportunity to manage a sophisticated caseload of clinical negligence matters. Responsibilities include:
- Leading complex and litigated claims, including birth injuries, delayed diagnoses, fatal claims, and inquests
- Securing early interim payments to support rehabilitation and care needs
- Advising on a broad spectrum of medical disciplines including obstetrics, neurosurgery, oncology, and psychiatric care
- Delivering accurate, compassionate legal advice throughout the client journey
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in claimant-side clinical negligence work
- Ability to manage complex, litigated cases independently
- Strong client care skills and emotional intelligence
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Commercial awareness and interest in business development
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Commitment to justice and improving clients' quality of life
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time role based in either the Cardiff or Bristol office. Hybrid working is supported through the firm's Flexible by Choice programme, subject to role and client requirements.
