An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a leading Agriculture & Estates team within a highly respected national practice. The team forms part of a wider Private Client division and is one of the largest and best qualified agricultural practices in the UK, advising farmers, landowners, landed estates and agri businesses across a broad range of rural property matters. Based in Bristol, you will join a specialist group of rural lawyers with deep sector knowledge and access to a strong national network.
The Role
You will join the transactional sub team, supporting a wide range of rural real estate work. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, deeds, documents, advice notes and correspondence
- Managing and supporting an active caseload, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of advice
- Direct communication with clients, advisers and other stakeholders
- Advising on farm acquisitions and disposals, refinancing, renewable energy projects, natural capital, equestrian matters and estate management
- Working closely with colleagues across the Agriculture & Estates team
- Participating in marketing, networking and business development initiatives
This is a varied and hands on role offering exposure to high quality rural work and the opportunity to develop specialist expertise within a supportive and collaborative team.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a motivated and detail driven lawyer with:
- Completion of a recognised training contract or equivalent qualifying experience
- 0-3 years' PQE gained at a reputable legal practice
- Demonstrable interest and foundational knowledge in Agriculture & Estates
- Strong attention to detail and consistently high quality drafting skills
- Excellent client care skills and professional integrity
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, case management systems, Outlook and digital dictation
- A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
