Chadwick Nott is pleased to be working with a leading law firm in Bristol to recruit a Risk Lawyer on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Risk & Compliance team supporting the firm's legal and business services functions.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the Risk & Compliance inbox and triaging queries
- Acting as first point of escalation for team queries
- Maintaining breach logs and supporting internal reporting
- Providing input on internal risk-related projects
- Supporting the Client Matter Inception process
- Advising on data protection issues, including breaches, DSARs, and internal queries
- Preparing materials for escalated decisions to senior legal officers
- Providing compliance guidance to business services teams and international offices
- Qualified solicitor or legal professional (0-3 years PQE preferred)
- Candidates with relevant experience in Risk & Compliance will also be considered
- Knowledge of data protection legislation is desirable
- Experience in the insurance sector or litigation paralegal work is beneficial
- Strong written communication skills, especially in plain English
- Familiarity with Intapp Open software is an advantage
- Commercial awareness and ability to work efficiently across teams
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to a supportive firm culture
