A UK Top 50 law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (NQ-3 PQE) to join its specialist Home Ownership Disputes Team, part of the wider Property Disputes division. This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in TOLATA and equitable property trust disputes within a supportive, ambitious and nationally recognised practice.
The Role
- Support and manage a varied caseload of cohabitation and property trust disputes, including TOLATA claims involving orders for sale, beneficial interest disputes and equitable accounting.
- Advising on disputes between cohabitees, family members and friends.
- Drafting cohabitation agreements.
- Managing your own caseload under supervision.
- Supporting senior lawyers on complex matters.
- Responding to new enquiries and providing empathetic, clear client advice.
- Contributing to business development, including writing articles and thought leadership pieces.
- Delegating work to junior lawyers and trainees where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
- NQ-3 years' PQE (guideline only β all levels considered).
- Some experience advising on TOLATA or property trust disputes.
- Strong interest in equitable claims and cohabitation matters.
- Excellent attention to detail and high quality drafting skills.
- Professional integrity and commitment to exceptional client service.
- Ability to work sensitively with clients in emotionally charged situations.
- Confidence using case management systems and digital workflows.
