The Role

Opportunities for externally hired NQ solicitors at this level are genuinely rare. Most roles are filled through internal trainee retention, making this a standout opening for those approaching qualification or recently qualified. Joining a highly regarded Tax, Trusts & Succession team, you'll work on a broad range of complex, high-quality private client matters, including:

  • Advising high-net-worth individuals, families and trustees
  • Estate planning, succession structuring and wealth preservation
  • Trust creation, administration and disputes
  • Inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning
  • Working closely with landowners, family businesses and entrepreneurs
  • Collaborating with real estate, corporate and disputes teams on multi-disciplinary matters

You will have early responsibility, including managing elements of your own caseload, while being supported by experienced partners and senior lawyers in a genuinely collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements

This role is ideal for a trainee nearing qualification or an NQ (0-1 PQE) looking to build a long-term career in private client work. You will bring:

  • A strong seat (or experience) in private client / tax / trusts work
  • Excellent academics and attention to detail
