Position: Knowledge Lawyer / Senior Knowledge Lawyer - Pensions - Bristol - 5+ Years PQE
Type of Role: Permanent, Part-time (3 days per week, hybrid working available)
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 FTE (depending on experience)
The Role: You will play a key role in supporting the Pensions Team by delivering high quality, business focused knowledge services. Responsibilities include:
- Keeping the team updated on legal and regulatory developments, including producing regular Pensions Knowledge News Updates
- Preparing clear, accessible internal updates on relevant changes in pensions law
- Organising and delivering legal training, and facilitating knowledge sharing across the team
- Supporting the adoption of AI tools and other technology to enhance processes and risk management
- Maintaining and expanding a comprehensive suite of precedents and technical resources
- Assisting with client facing presentations, seminars and workshops
- Preparing client publications and placing content in pensions journals and other outlets
- Responding to pensions law queries from lawyers across the firm
- Leading responses to government consultations on new or amended pensions legislation
Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years' PQE in pensions law
- Strong technical expertise in pensions regulation and its application to real world business issues
- Experience in risk reduction and risk transfer exercises (e.g., buy ins and buy outs) is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, organised and self‑motivated approach
- High levels of technical accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within cross‑disciplinary teams
