Chadwick Nott are instructed by a leading international law firm in their search for an Insurance Associate (4+ PQE) to join their highly regarded Insurance & Reinsurance team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-ranked practice that advises many of the world's leading insurers, reinsurers and brokers on complex, high-value and often international matters. The team is recognised for its commercial approach, strong client relationships and expertise across a broad range of insurance disputes and coverage work.
You will work on a varied caseload including:
- Professional indemnity disputes
- Financial Institutions (FI) and D&O claims
- Complex policy coverage matters
- Cyber breach response and coverage work
- Emerging areas such as W&I, FinTech and Technology E&O claims
The role offers the opportunity to develop a specialist focus or maintain a broad insurance practice, while working closely with leading clients and market experts.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE, gained at a City, leading regional or international law firm. You will ideally have:
- Strong experience in insurance litigation, coverage or professional indemnity work
- Experience advising insurers, reinsurers, brokers or major corporate clients
- Excellent drafting and technical legal skills
- The ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Sound judgement and excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective project and matter management capabilities
You will be ambitious, collaborative and keen to develop your profile within the insurance market.
