A long established and well regarded Bristol law firm is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join its busy and expanding Family Law team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment that values professional development, flexibility, and high quality client service.
The Role
- You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of family law matters, including:
- Financial Remedy
- Private Children Law
- Domestic Abuse matters
- A mix of privately funded and legal aid work (legal aid experience helpful but training available)
- Providing support to the Head of Department
- Working with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Following successful completion of probation, you will have the option of hybrid working (up to 2 days per week) and access to dedicated paralegal/support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- This role is suited to a Family Lawyer with:
- 2-6 years PQE in family/matrimonial law
- Strong experience across core family law areas
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- A proactive, supportive, and professional approach
- Experience with legal aid (desirable but not essential)
- Commitment to delivering high quality client care
