A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Disputes Knowledge Lawyer to head its Disputes & Risk Knowledge function. This senior strategic role offers the opportunity to shape the Knowledge agenda for a large, high performing Disputes & Risk Practice Group, working across a wide range of specialist disputes areas.
The Role
- You will lead the Disputes & Risk Knowledge Team and play a central role in developing and delivering the group's knowledge strategy.
- Leading the strategic development of the Disputes & Risk Knowledge function.
- Driving technical excellence and best practice professional support across the team.
- Keeping lawyers updated on legal and regulatory developments.
- Preparing clear, accessible internal updates and client publications.
- Developing and delivering the group's legal training programme.
- Maintaining a high quality suite of precedents and knowledge resources.
- Handling complex technical legal queries from lawyers and clients.
- Supporting client seminars, training sessions and thought leadership activity.
- Enhancing knowledge sharing processes and systems.
- Supporting innovation and the adoption of legal technology.
- Managing and mentoring a team of senior and junior Knowledge Lawyers and a Knowledge Paralegal.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong and up to date expertise in commercial litigation or a related disputes area.
- Experience as a PSL or senior fee earner in a commercial law firm.
- A client focused approach and understanding of how knowledge supports business development.
- Experience line managing or mentoring Knowledge Lawyers (desirable).
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire confidence.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to progress work efficiently.
- A strong understanding of legal technology and its role in improving efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting complex issues clearly.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
