The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a diverse caseload and supporting clients across sectors including local and central government, health, commercial services, housing, higher education, and financial services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Advising on restructures and redundancy processes
- Handling employee relations issues, including settlement negotiations
- Managing complex litigation and advocacy work
- Advising on TUPE, including drafting/negotiating warranties and indemnities
- Supporting corporate and commercial transactions with employment due diligence
- Drafting and reviewing employment policies
- Delivering training and contributing to business development
- Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 4+ years PQE in employment law
- Broad employment experience across one or more of the firm’s key markets
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence in managing complex matters independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
- Experience in client relationship management and business development
