Commercial & IP Solicitor – Bristol • Top 100 Law Firm
A leading regional and top 100 national law firm is seeking a Commercial & IP Solicitor to join its expanding Bristol office.
The Opportunity
You\’ll be joining a respected and growing public sector team that advises a wide range of clients, including:
- Local authorities
- Central government departments
- Utilities
- Public bodies and organisations across the UK
The work is varied, high profile and often part of major national projects across sectors such as telecommunications, regeneration, social housing, transport, energy and more.
What You\’ll Be Doing
You\’ll advise on a broad range of non-contentious commercial and public sector matters, including:
- Public procurement rules
- Contract drafting and negotiation
- Grant funding arrangements
- Subsidy control
- Local authority vires
- Supporting colleagues on large scale public sector projects
You\’ll work closely with a collaborative team and have the chance to contribute to some of the most significant public sector initiatives in the country.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have 3+ years PQE
- Bring experience working with public sector clients or within a public body
- Have essential experience in public procurement law
- Ideally have exposure to commercial contracts or subsidy control (helpful but not essential)
- Be a confident communicator with strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
- Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively across teams
