An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor or CILEX to join a specialist team handling claimant clinical negligence matters.
This role will involve managing a varied caseload of complex and high-value clinical negligence claims, covering both pre-issue and litigated matters. You will work on technically challenging cases while providing a high standard of client care and maintaining strong relationships with experts and stakeholders.
In addition to running your own caseload, you will play a key role in supervising and mentoring a small team of case handlers. This will include providing ongoing support, conducting regular supervision meetings, assisting with training and contributing to team development.
The successful candidate will have strong claimant clinical negligence experience and a proven track record in litigation. A solid understanding of CPR and clinical negligence law is essential. Experience of working with Legal Expenses Insurance, publicly funded work or CFA arrangements would be advantageous.
You will need excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills, along with a pragmatic approach to managing claims. Confidence in supervising and supporting junior team members is important, as is the ability to work effectively within a busy and demanding environment.
This role offers hybrid working, with a blend of office and home working from either Bristol or Cardiff.
