Overview

In this role you will manage a litigated claimant clinical negligence caseload within a supportive, collaborative team. You will run your own pre- and post-issue matters and help colleagues progress cases to resolution, while meeting SLA and KPI targets. Responsibilities

  • Manage a litigated claimant clinical negligence caseload
  • Run your own pre- and post-issue clinical negligence claims
  • Supervise junior colleagues under the direction of the Group Leader
  • Utilise case management systems and adhere to SLAs and performance targets
  • Achieve billing, time utilisation and telephony KPIs
  • Participate in team training, marketing and departmental activities
  • Collaborate within a friendly, professional group structure with clear support

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx or experienced case handler
  • Experience managing a litigated claimant clinical negligence or serious PI caseload
  • Strong knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence law
  • Ability to deal sensitively with clients and professionals
  • Experience with Legal Expense Insurance, publicly funded matters or CFAs (advantageous)
  • Proactive case progression skills and ability to drive matters to successful resolution
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confident use of IT systems and case management software
  • Enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to achieving best outcomes for clients
