A respected national law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join its fast growing Business Immigration team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base across health, higher education, financial services and commercial sectors, within a collaborative, ambitious and nationally recognised practice. The team operates on a truly national basis, offering high quality work, strong progression prospects and the chance to contribute to the firm’s wider growth plans.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for advising on a varied caseload of business immigration matters, including:
- Skilled Worker visa applications, including navigating and using the SMS
- Sponsor licence applications, compliance and right to work advice
- Conducting sponsorship compliance and right to work audits
- Challenging immigration enforcement action
- Supporting clients with immigration queries across Higher Education, Healthcare and Commercial Services
- Providing immigration support on corporate transactions, including due diligence
- Working directly with clients and contributing to wider team projects
- Supporting business development and networking initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- This role is suited to an experienced business immigration lawyer with:
- 4+ years’ PQE in business immigration
- Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting corporate transactions (desirable)
- Strong commercial awareness and client facing confidence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
- Interest in networking, BD and contributing to team growth
- Ability to work collaboratively across a national team
