Overview

You will join a growing employment team to advise a broad client base on contentious and non-contentious matters. In this role you manage a varied caseload, draft and review employment documents, and represent clients in tribunals and negotiations. You’ll support business development, train junior colleagues, and collaborate across the firm to deliver commercially focused advice. This is an opportunity to shape the firm’s employment practice while developing your leadership and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage own varied caseload with autonomy
  • Provide practical, commercially focused employment advice across the full spectrum
  • Draft and review contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
  • Represent clients in negotiations, Employment Tribunal proceedings and ADR
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in employment law
  • Build strong client and referrer relationships and support business development
  • Provide TUPE support to Corporate and Commercial Property teams
  • Conduct due diligence on corporate transactions and draft warranties and indemnities
  • Deliver employment law training to clients and colleagues
  • Supervise and develop junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals
  • Collaborate across the wider firm to deliver integrated solutions

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with England & Wales qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 4 years' PQE
  • Experience managing employment matters with autonomy
  • Experience conducting Employment Tribunal proceedings
  • Excellent drafting, research, negotiation and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
  • Confidence building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Proactive approach to business development and team growth
