A leading national firm is seeking a Banking & Finance Associate (3+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high profile clients on complex, high value transactions across a broad range of finance disciplines. You'll gain exposure to cross-border work, major lenders, sponsors and borrowers, and enjoy a supportive, collaborative environment that invests heavily in your development.
The Role
- You’ll work on a wide variety of banking and finance matters, including:
- Real estate finance
- Project and infrastructure finance
- Corporate banking
- Acquisition finance
- Fund finance
- Asset based lending
- Derivatives and structured finance
- Cross border transactions with international clients and law firms
- You will also:
- Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex transactions
- Manage your own matters with appropriate supervision
- Build strong relationships with clients across financial services, energy, infrastructure and real estate sectors
- Contribute to business development and client initiatives
- Receive ongoing training, mentoring and career development support
Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years’ PQE in banking and finance
- Experience acting for lenders and/or borrowers
- Strong technical skills and commercial awareness
- Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities
- Confidence managing transactions and client relationships
- A collaborative, proactive and ambitious approach
- Qualification as an SRA registered solicitor
