A highly respected Family team with an exceptional reputation across the South is seeking a Family Solicitor (5-8 PQE) to join its Bournemouth office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high quality, complex family matters within a supportive, well established team offering genuine long term career progression, autonomy and independence.
The Role
You will work both independently and as part of a wider team, handling a broad range of high value and complex family matters. Responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing your own varied caseload
- Supporting Partners on high net worth matrimonial finance and complex private children matters
- Coaching and supervising junior team members
- Managing your own time, priorities and workflow effectively
- Keeping up to date with developments in family law
- Communicating clearly with clients, colleagues and other professionals
- Meeting time recording and financial targets
- Actively participating in marketing and business development initiatives
- Upholding the highest professional standards
Candidate Requirements
You will be a qualified solicitor with 5-8 years' PQE and strong specialist experience in family law, including:
- Divorce and separation
- High value or complex financial remedy matters (trusts, business assets, foreign assets, pensions)
- Cohabitation matters
- Pre and post nuptial agreements
- Private law children matters
You will also bring:
- Strong technical ability and attention to detail
- Exceptional client care skills
- The ability to explain complex issues clearly and simply
- Confidence using digital tools and legal technology
- Creativity and strategic thinking
- Excellent organisation and time management
- A collaborative, team focused approach
- Commercial awareness and experience in business development
