An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Data Assistant to join a global Marketing & Business Development team within a law firm on a 6-month contract based in Birmingham. This role sits within the firm's Marketing & Business Development function and will play a key part in supporting the maintenance and development of a global experience management database.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, cleansing and maintaining large volumes of matter and experience data, ensuring records are accurate, consistent and free from duplication. Working closely with lawyers and business services teams, you will help collect, organise and maintain information that is critical to business development activities, including pitches, credentials, legal directory submissions and wider marketing initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and cleansing data across multiple systems and spreadsheets
- Identifying and removing duplicate matters and records
- Maintaining and updating database records
- Supporting data collection exercises with lawyers and stakeholders
- Assisting with the management of experience data used for pitches and marketing materials
- Working with Excel and database systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Supporting wider Marketing & Business Development projects as required
Candidates must have:
- A Law degree
- At least 6 months' office-based experience (paid or voluntary)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- The ability to manage and analyse data accurately
- A proactive and positive approach to work
Previous CRM or database experience would be advantageous but is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate with previous office experience looking to gain experience within a leading professional services environment while developing valuable skills in data management, marketing and business development. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week in the Birmingham office and 2 days working from home. An immediate start is available.
