This leading UK firm is seeking a Solicitor to join their highly regarded data protection team. All levels considered from NQ - 8 PQE. They are looking for a diligent and motivated individual to work alongside experienced solicitors and a L500 rated partner in a supportive environment, gaining exposure to a wide range of data protection and information governance matters.

This role focuses on practical, applied data protection work, with a particular emphasis on advising clients in challenging or sensitive situations. While not essential, experience in FOIA requests, involvement in data breach response, particularly in the context of cyber incidents, and experience supporting contentious data matters is an advantage. Exposure to ICO investigations, regulatory enquiries, or First-tier Tribunal proceedings would also be beneficial.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day DSAR queries, including strategy, proportionality, exemptions, and risk
  • Assisting with ICO investigations, information gathering, drafting responses, managing correspondence
  • Supporting matters before the First-tier Tribunal
  • Advising on third-party data requests
  • Guiding clients on handling personal data in internal processes
  • Supporting pre-action correspondence and litigation arising from data breaches
  • Advising on responses to data subject rights requests

NQ-8 PQE Solicitors considered with experience handling Data Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information Act requests, or broader GDPR compliance work.
