Our client, a Top 20 UK law firm, seeks to recruit an Associate to join their Tier 1 ranked Banking team in Birmingham.
Responsibilities
- Assist in advising clients on a wide range of banking and finance matters including loan facilities, security documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Support senior associates and partners in transaction execution, including drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis relevant to banking and finance law.
- Collaborate with colleagues across teams to deliver innovative and client-focused solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and regulatory changes.
- Participate in client meetings, calls, and presentations as needed.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and knowledge sharing within the practice.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor with 0 to 3 years post‑qualification experience, preferably gained within private practice.
- Strong academic background in law, with particular interest or exposure to banking and finance.
- Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
