A new and rare opening for an experienced banking and finance partner to join a Top 100 law firm in their tier 1 ranked banking and finance team. This thriving team are known for advising banks, financial institutions, and borrowers on various finance matters including acquisition, leveraged, syndicated, property investment and development, as well as renewable energy finance. They provide advice regionally and nationally across sectors such as sport, hospitality & leisure, renewables, healthcare, real estate, and the public sector.

This position will be in real estate finance and your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing clearing banks and institutional lenders
  • Providing advice on banking and finance matters, conducting due diligence on real estate assets, and liaising with valuers and advisors
  • Collaborating with wider banking and finance, corporate, commercial property, and construction teams
  • Leading complex financial transactions, from structuring and negotiation to execution and closing, ensuring compliance with client policies and best practices
  • Mitigating legal risks in real estate finance transactions, offering innovative solutions to protect clients' interests and achieve their commercial goals

Skills & Qualifications

  • England and Wales qualified lawyer with 10+ years' experience in banking and finance, gained at a leading regional or national firm
  • Demonstrated sector knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Proven experience in acting for lenders on real estate and development finance transactions
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Experience in mentoring junior solicitors and trainees
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
