A leading regional law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Solicitor to join its expanding Inheritance & Trust Disputes team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a strong and steady flow of high quality contentious probate and trust related work within a specialist, supportive department. Senior candidates, including those at Director level, are particularly encouraged to apply due to urgent demand at the senior end.

Role

You will manage a varied and engaging caseload of inheritance and trust disputes, including:

  • Contentious probate matters
  • Challenges to the validity of wills
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Proprietary estoppel claims
  • Disputed trusts and trustee issues
  • Cohabitation disputes
  • Deputyship disputes

You will work closely with a specialist team handling complex, high value matters and will be encouraged to contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice.

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to an Associate or Senior Solicitor with:

  • Experience in contentious probate or trust disputes (or a strong litigation/probate background with a desire to specialise)
  • Excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships
  • Confidence managing a busy and varied caseload
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (essential for Cardiff based candidates)
  • Commitment to delivering high quality client service
