A respected regional law firm is seeking a Construction Associate/Solicitor to join its Construction team in Poundbury. The team advises on contentious and non-contentious construction matters, supporting contractors, developers, landowners and professional advisers. This role focuses primarily on contentious construction work, with strong supervision and development opportunities.

The Role

  • Advising on construction disputes, adjudication, mediation and court proceedings
  • Providing strategic advice as disputes arise
  • Supporting non-contentious construction matters where needed
  • Working with a broad client base including developers, contractors and consultants
  • Assisting clients with contractual structures and risk management
  • Managing your own caseload with guidance from the Head of Team
  • Contributing to a collaborative, friendly team across both offices

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE or above)
  • Litigation experience from training or post qualification
  • Interest in developing a construction law specialism
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Client focused approach and strong attention to detail
  • Enjoys working in a close-knit, supportive team environment
  • Construction experience is not required - full training and support will be provided.
