A respected regional law firm is seeking a Construction Associate/Solicitor to join its Construction team in Poundbury. The team advises on contentious and non-contentious construction matters, supporting contractors, developers, landowners and professional advisers. This role focuses primarily on contentious construction work, with strong supervision and development opportunities.
The Role
- Advising on construction disputes, adjudication, mediation and court proceedings
- Providing strategic advice as disputes arise
- Supporting non-contentious construction matters where needed
- Working with a broad client base including developers, contractors and consultants
- Assisting clients with contractual structures and risk management
- Managing your own caseload with guidance from the Head of Team
- Contributing to a collaborative, friendly team across both offices
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE or above)
- Litigation experience from training or post qualification
- Interest in developing a construction law specialism
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Client focused approach and strong attention to detail
- Enjoys working in a close-knit, supportive team environment
- Construction experience is not required - full training and support will be provided.
