Job Description Solicitor – Commercial Property \ N \n Devizes \ N \n Full Time, some hybrid working \ N \n Salary is dependent on experience \ N \n \n We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor – Commercial Property to join our client based in their Devizes office. \ N \n Specific Rolesand Responsibilities: \ N \n To manage all client work allocated by the Team Lead in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm's Office Manual and Lexcel standards. \ N To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs. \ N At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner. \ N To ensure the confidentiality and security of all documentation and information of the practice and clients. \ N To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording. \ N In close liaison with the Finance team, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters. \ N To comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and the Solicitors’ Code of Conduct 2011. \ N To maintain clear and precise communications with other staff in the firm. \ N To ensure good workingrelationships with external institutions and organisations. \ N To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff and fee earning staff as agreed with the Head of Department. \ N To take responsibilityfor and attend to your CPD needs. \ N In conjunction with thefirm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the SRA and to assist with in-house training as may be required. \ N To carry out any otherduties and responsibilities that may be required by the Team Lead. \ N \n \n ClientDevelopment and Marketing: \ N \n To be active in promoting the services of the firm and the specific team, its image and ethos (in liaison with Head of Department and other partners) through local marketing activities e.G. forums, trade groups, professional bodies etc. \ N \n \n Management: \ N \n Expectations formanagement will depend on the level of experience of the Solicitor, size of team, nature of work etc. \ N \n \n PersonSpecification: \ N \n Experience andknowledge: \ N \n 1-5 years PQE with broad commercial property experience to include Landlord and Tenant, acquisitions and disposals and development work \ N Experience of managingown workload effectively, particularly in a pressurised environment \ N Strong organisational skills \ N Flexible approach to work \ N Experience of liaisingwith agents and other professionals \ N Excellent written and verbal communication skills \ N Ability to demonstratecommitment to high quality and a customer service focus \ N Experience of using a Case Management System \ N Ability to travel to clients etc \ N Strong ICT skills. \ N \ N \n \n \n Professional Qualifications: \ N \n At least a degreeof 2:1 or evidence of a similar ability \ N Recognised professionalqualification as a Solicitor entitling the role-holder to practice in England
