Associate - Commercial Litigation - Bristol
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 (DOE)
A leading national law firm is seeking an Associate to join its highly regarded Commercial Litigation team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a motivated, collegiate and well structured department handling high quality commercial disputes across a wide range of sectors.
The Role
You’ll work closely with partners and senior lawyers within a strong, established team comprising partners, senior associates, associates, solicitors, trainees and paralegals. The team is consistently recognised for its expertise and handles a broad variety of disputes, including:
- Contract and commercial disputes
- Professional negligence
- Banking and financial services litigation
- Intellectual property and defamation
- Fraud and procurement challenges
- Partnership and shareholder disputes
You will manage your own caseload across the team's specialisms while also supporting partners and senior colleagues on complex, high value and large scale matters. You’ll also be encouraged to contribute to business development and play an active role within a supportive, collaborative team environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Has solid general commercial litigation experience
- Is proactive, organised and able to manage multiple matters effectively
- Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills
- Delivers excellent client service and builds trusted relationships
- Uses initiative, forward planning and commercial judgment
- Has strong academic credentials and a genuine interest in developing their career as a litigator
- Is ambitious, driven and keen to build a reputation within a respected national team
