A highly respected national law firm is seeking an Associate to join its leading Commercial Disputes team in Bristol, specialising in media and information law. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high profile, fast paced matters involving reputation management, crisis response and complex commercial litigation for major corporates, fast growth businesses and high net worth individuals.
The Role
- Undertake a genuinely mixed practice across commercial disputes and media/information law, including:
- Acting at all stages of complex commercial disputes for UK and international clients
- Advising on reputational issues and crisis management, including pre publication media queries and business critical investigations
- Advising on online reputation issues, including notice and takedown and intermediary liability
- Acting for publishers and broadcasters on defamation, privacy and other information law matters
- Advising data controllers on data protection complaints, contentious DSARs and related claims
- Supporting clients on cyber incident response and follow on litigation or regulatory issues
You will work closely with senior lawyers while also receiving early responsibility and direct client exposure.
