A leading national law firm is seeking an Agricultural Litigation Lawyer (1+ PQE) to join its specialist Dispute Resolution team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high profile clients, gain exposure to complex and unique rural matters, and develop your expertise within a highly respected Estates & Land practice.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing and supporting a varied caseload of contentious agricultural and rural matters, including:
- Agricultural tenancy disputes
- Rural property issues and boundary matters
- Farming partnerships and related disputes
- Contentious trust and probate matters connected to landed estates
- Advising landowners, farmers, trustees, charities and public bodies
- Working closely with colleagues in private client, real estate, planning, environment and energy
- Supporting national level clients on specialist rural and estate related issues
- Managing complex workloads with responsibility from day one
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:
- 1+ years' PQE in contentious legal work (agricultural, rural property or landed estates experience ideal)
- Alternatively, a property litigation background with a strong interest in developing rural expertise
- A genuine interest in the rural sector and its unique legal landscape
- Strong technical, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload effectively
- Confidence building strong client relationships
- SRA registered lawyer status
