A well established and supportive firm is seeking a Junior Private Client Solicitor to join its friendly team in Abergavenny. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who wants high quality work, strong supervision and a genuine work/life balance - without the pressures of a top tier firm.
You will work alongside two full STEP qualified solicitors and a CTA qualified solicitor, with full support to pursue STEP membership yourself.
The Role
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Estate administration and probate matters
- Trust creation and administration
- Inheritance tax and estate planning advice
- Court of Protection and deputyship work (depending on experience)
- Supporting senior fee earners on more complex matters
You will have regular client contact, opportunities to develop your technical skills and the chance to build long term relationships within the local community.
Candidate Requirements
- Newly qualified or up to 3 years' PQE (trainees approaching qualification welcome)
- Experienced in private client work through a seat or post qualification role
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
- Empathetic, professional and confident dealing with sensitive matters
- A strong communicator with a client focused approach
- Keen to learn, develop and progress within a supportive team
