Planning Associate / Senior Associate - Bristol

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Planning & Environmental team at a leading UK Top 100 law firm, recognised by both Chambers and Legal 500.

Working with developers, infrastructure providers, investors and landowners, you'll advise on a broad range of planning matters, including major infrastructure projects, development schemes and complex planning transactions.

Key areas of work include

  • Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and infrastructure consenting regimes
  • Town and Country Planning Act matters
  • Planning applications, appeals and development strategy
  • Section 106, highways and infrastructure agreements
  • Planning support on real estate, energy and corporate transactions
  • Business development and client relationship management
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Approximately 3-6 years' PQE (applications outside this range are welcome)
  • Strong planning law experience gained in private practice
  • Experience advising on DCOs, major infrastructure projects or related consenting regimes
  • A solid grounding in Town and Country Planning work
  • Excellent technical, drafting and communication skills
  • An interest in building client relationships and supporting business development
