Solicitor/Associate - Family Law - Bristol - 1-5 Years PQE

A leading UK Top 50 law firm is seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking Solicitor or Associate with 1-5 years\' post-qualification experience to join its award-winning Family team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside nationally recognised practitioners in a collaborative and inclusive environment, supporting a growing team with a strong domestic and international client base.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied and stimulating caseload, including:
- Divorce and financial remedy cases, including court proceedings
- Nuptial and cohabitation agreements
- Child arrangements and related proceedings
- International family law matters
- Modern family issues including surrogacy, adoption, and fertility law
- Supporting senior team members on complex and high-value cases
- Delegating to trainees and paralegals
- Delivering outstanding client service and managing expectations
- Monitoring budgets and fees
- Contributing to business development and team growth
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 1-5 years PQE in family law (other levels of experience will be considered on merit)
- Strong technical understanding of family law and procedure
- Ability to deliver accurate, practical, and tailored advice
- Commercial and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills
- Interest in business development and team collaboration
- Willingness to travel occasionally to London for hearings and meetings
- Language skills (particularly French) are helpful but not essential
- Experience in alternative dispute resolution (desirable)
