An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join the Exeter office of a highly respected Top 100 UK law firm, consistently recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers UK. The firm's Commercial Property team acts for a diverse client base including investors, landlords, occupiers and financial institutions, advising on a broad spectrum of real estate matters. With a strong reputation in the market and ambitious growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and successful team handling high-quality work.

The Role

  • As part of a well-established Commercial Property practice, you'll work on a varied caseload and play an active role in supporting both clients and the continued growth of the team.
  • Advising on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property
  • Handling landlord and tenant matters
  • Managing asset management work across client portfolios
  • Supporting telecoms-related property transactions
  • Drafting and negotiating leases, agreements and ancillary documentation
  • Running transactions through to completion
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Participating in networking and business development activities
  • Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees

This position offers excellent exposure to a wide range of commercial property work, providing the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise and commercial understanding while building long-term client relationships. Please note that development and energy matters are handled by specialist teams within the wider firm.

Candidate Requirements

  • Applications are welcomed from Commercial Property Solicitors seeking to join a progressive and growing team.
  • Solid experience across a range of commercial property matters
  • Strong technical and transactional skills
  • The ability to manage matters independently and efficiently
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to client service
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working closely with clients and other stakeholders
  • An interest in business development and networking
  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to support junior colleagues

Candidates will be considered at Associate, Senior Associate or Managing Associate level depending on experience and expertise.
