A leading national law firm is seeking an Employment Partner to take a strategic leadership role within its Bristol office. This is an exceptional opportunity for an established employment law specialist to lead, grow and elevate a high performing team with an impressive national client base.

The Role

You will act as the senior figurehead for the Employment team in Bristol, managing key client relationships and driving the continued growth of the practice. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the Bristol employment practice
  • Managing and expanding relationships with major national clients
  • Acting as the "face" of the team locally and supporting business development initiatives
  • Delivering both contentious and non contentious employment advice
  • Supporting and contributing to the wider strategic growth of the firm
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing junior lawyers
  • Driving innovation, efficiency and best practice across the team

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a senior employment law specialist with:

  • A legal qualification and 8+ years' post qualification experience
  • A proven track record of building and sustaining an employment practice
  • An established following - this is essential for the role
  • Strong sector knowledge and awareness of market trends
  • Experience managing key client relationships at a senior level
  • A commercial mindset with an understanding of revenue prioritisation
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and inspire a team
  • A recognised external profile within the employment law sector

  • Experience operating within a top tier or national law firm environment
