A leading Top 100 law firm with a strong presence and outstanding reputation in Exeter is looking to recruit an Associate (c.1-4 PQE) to join their Insurance Disputes team. As part of a highly regarded litigation practice, you will work on a broad mix of domestic and international insurance disputes, joining a thriving well‑established team with excellent partner support and clear progression opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Advise and represent clients in insurance and personal injury matters across litigation, arbitration and ADR.
- Handle coverage and interpretation issues, liability claims, subrogated recoveries and both claimant and defendant PI work.
- Assist with contractual issues linked to insurance disputes and wider civil litigation matters where required.
- Progress cases through the litigation process while exploring all appropriate ADR routes.
- Manage client relationships, take instructions and ensure compliance procedures are followed.
- Contribute to team marketing and profile‑raising initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with strong litigation experience (approx. 1-4 PQE).
- Experience in insurance disputes and/or personal injury matters is highly desirable.
- Excellent technical ability with confidence to manage and progress files independently.
- Strong communication skills and a client‑focused approach.
- Commercial awareness, enthusiasm and a proactive mindset.
- Solid academic background.
