We are working with a top 100 national firm who are looking for a talented Commercial Associate to join their highly regarded Technology & Data team. This is a brilliant opportunity to work on cutting edge matters for an impressive client base and quickly become a key part of a thriving practice.
The Role
This team handles a wide range of high quality commercial, technology and data protection work for major national brands, scale ups and international businesses. You will be involved in:
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements, including SaaS, AI, cloud services, outsourcing and software licensing
- Advising tech suppliers and fast growth businesses on product launches and customer contracts
- Supporting clients across a wide range of sectors on major technology procurement projects
- Working on sophisticated data protection and cybersecurity matters, including compliance audits, DPIAs, DSARs, international transfers and breach readiness projects
- Advising on strategic data use, database optimisation and marketing initiatives
- Providing commercial and tech support on corporate and private equity transactions, often alongside City and US firms
This is a varied, high profile role offering exposure to complex work and the chance to build a strong market presence.
Candidate Requirements
This role would suit a solicitor with 2+ years' PQE in commercial, technology or data protection work, though those with more or slightly less experience are encouraged to apply. You will:
- Bring solid experience across commercial contracts, tech matters or data protection
- Have strong drafting skills and a pragmatic, solutions focused approach
- Be confident working directly with clients and managing a busy, varied workload
