The Role
- You will manage a varied caseload of professional negligence matters and play a key role in supporting team development and performance.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of complex professional negligence matters from inception through to resolution
- Handling multi-track, high-value disputes with confidence and autonomy
- Providing clear, commercially focused advice aligned to client and insurer objectives
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
- Driving high standards of client care, technical quality and efficiency
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and team performance
- Working closely with senior leadership to deliver on financial and operational targets
- Ensuring efficient case management and strong commercial outcomes
- Managing disputes through litigation, mediation and ADR where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with:
- 4+ years' PQE in Professional Negligence or complex litigation
- Strong experience handling multi-track, high-value disputes
- Excellent technical knowledge and litigation skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues (desirable)
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic advice
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
