A leading national practice is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its market‑leading Nuclear Energy team. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK’s nuclear sector, advising on some of the most high‑profile and pioneering nuclear projects in the country and internationally.
The nuclear sector is experiencing unprecedented growth, and the team is expanding to meet increasing client demand. You will work alongside recognised experts on major nuclear projects, including:
- Large scale nuclear new build (GW scale)
- Deployment of small and advanced modular reactors
- The UK’s first deep geological disposal facility
- The UK’s first commercial nuclear fusion plant
- Nuclear‑propelled vessels and maritime nuclear innovation
- Complex regulatory and commercial advisory work
You will work closely with a highly regarded group of nuclear specialists, including Partners and senior lawyers recognised as leaders in the field. The team is Tier 1 ranked and widely praised for its depth of expertise and collaborative culture.
What You’ll Need
- Experience advising on regulatory or commercial aspects of nuclear/fusion projects, or experience in other energy or highly regulated sectors
- Strong team‑working skills and excellent interpersonal communication
- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload
- Self‑motivation, curiosity and willingness to learn
- Demonstrable interest in the nuclear energy sector
- Qualified lawyer (SRA or Law Society of Scotland)
