Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £85,000 – £110,000 (depending on experience)

The Role

  • You will play a key role in advising clients on complex financial regulation matters, including:
  • Advising on FCA and PRA regulatory requirements, including authorisations, permissions and notifications
  • Supporting clients on regulatory strategy, product launches and restructuring projects
  • Advising on regulatory frameworks including MiFID II, UK AIFMD, SMCR, COBS and Consumer Duty
  • Advising investment platforms, asset managers, insurers, banks and fintech businesses
  • Drafting and reviewing client agreements and regulatory documentation
  • Supporting transactions from a regulatory perspective
  • Supervising junior lawyers and contributing to team development
  • Working closely with corporate, commercial and banking teams on cross‑practice matters

You will work directly with clients on high‑value, strategic matters and play an active role in shaping the growth of the financial regulation practice.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong experience in Financial Services Regulation
  • Knowledge of FCA/PRA regulatory frameworks and processes
  • Experience advising on areas such as MiFID II, AIFMD, SMCR, COBS and Consumer Duty
  • Experience working with financial institutions, asset managers, fintechs or similar clients
  • Strong drafting and advisory skills
  • Experience managing projects and taking ownership of complex matters
  • Some experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • A proactive, commercially focused and solutions‑driven approach
