The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Lawyer to join an established and supportive team. This role will involve managing a varied caseload of traditional private client matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a full caseload of private client matters independently
  • Drafting Wills, including more complex estate planning arrangements
  • Advising on Probate and the Administration of Estates
  • Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Attorneyships
  • Trust creation and administration
  • Providing advice on inheritance tax and estate planning matters
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial advisors, and HMRC
  • Delivering a sensitive and supportive service, particularly during difficult life events
  • Supporting the continued development of the private client department

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
  • Ideally 5+ years’ PQE in Private Client work (all levels considered)
  • Solid experience in wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration
  • Strong communication skills with a personable and empathetic approach
  • Ability to manage caseload independently while working as part of a team
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of client care
