Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a highly regarded national firm with strong Legal 500 rankings and a reputation for high‑quality work across the UK. This is a chance to step into a visible, influential role within a growing Cardiff team, working on complex and varied matters for a broad corporate client base. You’ll handle a mix of contentious and non‑contentious work, including:

  • Employment Tribunal litigation (often high‑value and technically challenging)
  • Day‑to‑day HR advisory matters
  • Disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and discrimination issues
  • Drafting contracts, policies, handbooks and settlement agreements
  • Corporate support and employment‑related data protection work
  • Advisory work for long‑standing clients across multiple sectors

You’ll have the autonomy to shape your expertise, take on significant client contact and play an active role in business development. You’ll also benefit from the support and resources of a large, well‑established national Employment team.

Candidate Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is circa 6+ PQE with strong experience across the full spectrum of employment law
  • Has handled Tribunal matters
  • Is confident advising on day‑to‑day HR issues for employer clients
  • Has excellent drafting, research and advisory skills
  • Enjoys working collaboratively within a team and contributing to business development
  • Has experience acting for employers (and ideally some senior exec/claimant exposure too)

Corporate support or non‑contentious experience is helpful, but support will be provided if this is an area which you would like to develop.
