A new opportunity has arisen for a junior Banking & Finance Solicitor to join a highly respected national law firm with a top‑tier reputation in the Welsh market. This award‑winning team is ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers and is known for its impressive client base and high‑quality transactional work. You’ll be joining a dynamic, ambitious banking and finance practice that advises lenders and borrowers across a wide range of sectors including sport, leisure, renewables, healthcare, real estate and the public sector. The team is well known for its technical strength, collaborative culture and strong national presence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ–2 PQE solicitor to build a career in a specialist banking and finance team. You will work closely with senior lawyers on a broad mix of transactions, including:
- Acting for clearing banks, institutional lenders, challenger banks, alternative financiers and major corporate borrowers.
- Advising on acquisition finance, leveraged finance, syndicated lending, real estate investment and development finance, and renewable energy finance.
- Drafting loan agreements, preparing and issuing security documentation, managing conditions precedent and assisting with drawdown processes.
- Liaising directly with clients to progress transactions from credit sanction through to completion.
- Working alongside corporate, commercial, property and construction teams on cross‑departmental matters.
- Supporting colleagues with post‑completion tasks and ensuring smooth transaction management.
- Getting involved in business development activities and client events as part of the wider team.

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), NQ–2 PQE.
- Experience in banking and finance is ideal, but candidates with strong transactional experience (corporate, commercial or real estate finance) will also be considered.
- Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, positive approach.
- Organised, efficient and able to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
