Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Locum Solicitor

£50 per hour

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Personal Injury Locum Solicitor to join a busy and established claimant team on an interim basis.
The firm is seeking a senior lawyer to provide support for an initial 3-4 month period whilst a permanent appointment is made. The successful candidate will take over and progress an existing caseload of claimant personal injury matters and provide supervision and support to junior members of the team where required.
The role would suit an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to manage files independently from the outset. In addition to personal injury work, candidates should also have some exposure to Clinical Negligence matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and progressing an existing claimant personal injury caseload
- Advising clients on liability, quantum and litigation strategy
- Handling matters through to resolution
- Assisting with clinical negligence matters where required
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Providing technical guidance and support across the team
- Maintaining excellent standards of client care and file management
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant claimant personal injury experience
- Exposure to clinical negligence work
- The ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior fee earners
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- The ability to hit the ground running in a busy team environment
The team currently consists of three fee earners and is looking for an experienced practitioner who can quickly become an integral part of the department.
