A top-tier international law firm, consistently recognised by the Legal 500 for the strength of its Corporate practice, is seeking a Corporate Associate (2–5 years PQE) to join its highly regarded Private Markets team in Bristol. This is a standout opportunity to join one of the most respected transactional teams in the UK, known for its high-calibre work, global platform and sector-led approach.
The team sits at the heart of the firm’s Corporate offering and advises on sophisticated, often cross-border private M&A and private equity transactions. With a strong international footprint and access to market-leading specialists across tax, finance, regulatory and competition, this is an exceptional environment for ambitious associates looking to accelerate their development.
The Role
- Advising on a broad range of high-value corporate transactions, including:
- Private M&A (acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures)
- Drafting and negotiating SPAs, investment agreements and shareholders’ agreements
- Managing and supporting due diligence processes
- Advising on transaction structuring, legal risk and commercial strategy
- Leading discrete workstreams and coordinating with specialist teams across the firm
- Supporting partners with client relationship development and business development initiatives
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- 2–5 years PQE gained at a leading UK or international firm
- Strong experience in Private M&A, with exposure to Private Equity work highly advantageous
- Excellent drafting skills and strong commercial awareness
- Experience managing transactional workstreams with appropriate supervision
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
