Our client is a top tier international law firm who seek to recruit a NQ to join their Restructuring & Insolvency team in Birmingham. The team has particular expertise in the retail, energy, education and financial services sectors, advising a wide variety of stakeholders on all aspects of distressed lending acting for high‑street clearing banks, private credit funds, asset‑based lenders, private equity funds, corporates and insolvency practitioners and other key financial stakeholders on all aspects of solvent restructuring, refinancing and insolvency proceedings in the UK and overseas.
The Role
On a daily basis you will work on a wide range of “household‑name” non‑contentious corporate and real estate restructuring matters, supporting a number of senior lawyers and with the opportunity to lead on smaller assignments. You will also have some exposure to contentious restructuring matters. You will also be supported and strongly encouraged to get involved in marketing and business development activities within the local marketplace.
Skills and Experience
- You will have completed a minimum of 1 seat within the Restructuring team.
- You will be client focused, commercially‑minded and a good communicator with a strong practical approach to your workload.
- 2 days from home per week.
