A well-established firm in Bedford is looking to welcome an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive to its growing Conveyancing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident fee-earner to take ownership of a varied caseload while working within a supportive, collaborative department. Reporting directly to the Head of Conveyancing, you'll handle a broad range of residential property matters and play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Re-mortgages
  • Shared Ownership schemes
  • Right to Buy matters
  • Transfers of Equity
  • Lease extensions

You'll be responsible for running your own caseload, meeting deadlines, and ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' PQE in residential conveyancing
  • Strong client care skills and the ability to provide clear, competent legal advice in line with the SRA Code of Conduct
  • Solid IT skills and confidence using case management systems (desirable)
  • Proven ability to generate fees and meet agreed targets
  • Up-to-date knowledge of CPD requirements, CQS standards and internal compliance expectations
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
  • Excellent drafting, communication and technical skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle a busy caseload independently
