Leading national firm seeks a partner to join their busy and expanding corporate department. Operating with significant autonomy, you will build a practice focused on the Manchester market to complement the national corporate team. You do not need a following of clients. Supporting a senior corporate partner in Manchester and supported on the ground by an existing corporate team, you will be keen to play a full part in the growth of the corporate offering.
You will have access to plenty of support from specialists across the firm, including corporate partners, solicitors and associates, as well as specialist teams in tax, banking, commercial, IP, real estate and employment. You will also enjoy the support of the knowledge and business development teams. The corporate team as a whole acts for a wide mix of national and international clients, encompassing M&A, equity funding, joint ventures, corporate finance and general corporate structuring work.
About you
- You will be a senior associate or legal director ready to make a step up to a partner role, or an existing partner looking for a new challenge.
- Already working in Manchester or surrounds or relocating / willing to relocate to Manchester.
- Comfortable running transactions and supervising solicitors and support staff.
- Strong business development skills.
There is an existing book of clients and referrers and the precise nature of the role will depend on your own background, client relationships and sector expertise. A client following or business case is not a pre-requisite for this role.
