An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Residential Property Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join a friendly and supportive Residential Property team in Malmesbury. This role would suit a well-organised and proactive individual with experience in residential conveyancing who is looking to develop their career within a collaborative and welcoming environment. Experience of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion would be highly advantageous.
You will provide vital support to fee earners across a range of residential conveyancing transactions, assisting with matters from initial instruction through to post-completion. The role offers exposure to a broad range of residential property work and the opportunity to become a valued member of a positive and supportive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation of contracts, leases and other property documentation
- Drafting routine correspondence and standard legal documents
- Managing and updating files using case management systems and online portals
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors
- Assisting with compliance and risk management procedures
- Coordinating with accounts teams regarding payments and transfers
- Opening new files, preparing initial documentation and providing client quotations
- Handling telephone enquiries and arranging appointments
- General administrative duties including filing, scanning and document management
- Providing reception cover when required
- Supporting the progression of files during fee earner absences
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience within a residential conveyancing environment is highly desirable. Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
