A well‑established, multi‑office law firm in London is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join their team on a maternity cover contract. The firm is known for its commitment to high‑quality service, strong client relationships, and a supportive working culture. The firm is looking for a high‑calibre Civil Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE. The successful candidate will manage a varied and complex caseload, demonstrate strong client care skills, and communicate confidently at all levels. While this is a maternity cover position, there is potential for the role to transition into a permanent opportunity.
Key responsibilities:- Managing a broad range of civil litigation matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
- Providing accurate cost estimates to new clients
- Opening files and progressing matters in accordance with firm procedures and SRA requirements
- Supporting business development initiatives and attending networking events on behalf of the firm
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE in Civil Litigation
- Strong experience in property litigation matters
- Ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships internally and externally
- Calm, confident approach when handling sensitive or challenging conversations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Experience using legal case management software
