Commercial, Technology & Data Protection Solicitor (3-5 PQE) – Leading Regional Law Firm | Multiple Office Locations (Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Oxford)

I am currently working with a highly regarded regional law firm that is looking to appoint a Commercial, Technology, Intellectual Property and Data Protection Solicitor to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 3-5 years' PQE seeking high-quality, varied work across commercial contracts, technology, intellectual property and data protection matters. The role offers exposure to an impressive client base ranging from innovative start-ups and scale-up businesses to established national and international organisations.

The Opportunity

Joining a collaborative and growing team, you will advise clients on a broad range of commercial and technology-driven matters while developing strong client relationships and sector expertise.

  • Advising clients on commercial contracts, technology agreements, intellectual property matters and data protection issues.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and technology-related documentation.
  • Managing your own matters while supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex projects.
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice tailored to clients' objectives.
  • Building and maintaining long‑term client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser.
  • Working closely with colleagues across offices and practice groups to deliver seamless client service.
  • Supporting business development activities, networking initiatives, seminars and marketing campaigns.
  • Developing expertise in key industry sectors and identifying opportunities to add value to clients.
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing and maintaining high professional and regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile

This opportunity would suit a commercially minded solicitor who enjoys working across a broad range of commercial and technology-related matters.

  • Between 3 and 5 years' PQE.
  • Experience in commercial contracts, technology, intellectual property, data protection or a combination of these disciplines.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and technical legal skills.
  • Commercial awareness and an ability to provide practical, solution-focused advice.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing matters and deadlines.
  • An interest in business development and building a personal profile in the market.
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to a growing team.
