Shop Assistant/Cashier

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team, with great work ethic and a team player. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring the shop is well-organised and inviting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Provide product information and recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products.
• Maintain an organised and visually appealing shop environment through effective merchandising.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone with proper phone etiquette.
• Process transactions accurately while demonstrating basic math skills.
• Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently.
