We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Bakery Assistant to join our team. You will support daily bakery operations, helping to prepare, present, and sell baked goods while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and display of pastries, cakes, and other products for selling
- Taking orders accurately and professionally in person and over the telephone
- Making sandwiches and other fresh products as requested
- Displaying products neatly and attractively in the shop
- Serving customers and handling transactions when required
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and front‑of‑house areas
- Following food hygiene and safety regulations at all times
- Restocking shelves and packaging baked goods
Requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment which can be hot at times
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided)
- Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen, or retail environment is an advantage but not essential
